Need to replace some worn out P228 sights and wanted to know the advantages/disadvantages of these sights. I like the price a simplicity of the Hacks, but I might like having a tritium in the rear for a pistol with no light. Also, I wonder if the Ameriglos have a wide enough notch? Also, there is the POI/POA data for someone who has shot with them.

Thank you.

I only have experience with the hacks and they were on a g26 the notch was big enough for self defense sights if you’re looking for precision sights for longer ranges I’d look elsewhere but out to 25 yds they did just fine for me super simple and effective in my opinion as far as having tritium in the back that is a personal preference....food for thought you can combine a hackathorn front with another rear from their catalog Ameriglo is the best bang for your buck in my opinion

I have hacks on my Glocks. I much prefer them over other sights for "combat" shooting. I don't see the need to line up dots, I just center the big orange dot in the center of the black rear and press. It feels much more positive and faster to me.

I am down to this:

OR use that front with a Ameriglo CLAW rear - but the claw is a little tall - might raise POA.

I have become a big fan of Night Fision sights.

Not sure the notch in the night fision is wide enough for me.

I put Trijicon HD/XR Orange on my Sig 239, 9mm. Same POA/POI as the Siglite sights.

I nestle the orange dot in the U notch and get after it.

Same on M&P's and a GLOCK.

Used Wilson Combat sights on my G17 with the Ameriglo orange up front.
