Picked up around 50 cases at the range today with the following headstamp:

B81 7.62 R1M1

From what I could find on Google, its South African surplus.

Are these cases worth a damn when it comes to loading match grade .308 ammo for a bolt gun? I wanted to started loading 175 SMK's on top of some Varget.

I weighed a few of them just for grins and they seem to be pretty consistent from case to case.

What little bit I shot through my PTR-91 was berdan primed..meaning (in case you did'nt know) that you can't reload it.......

Yup, Excellent brass. Non reloadable, all SA is berdan pimed unless the headstamp is DNL or PMP.
