LOS ANGELES — Federal and local agents seized more than 1,000 weapons Wednesday at a home in one of the richest neighborhoods in the country, authorities said.

This ^. I read it that way too. In today's day and age I can't say that the quote really surprised me though.

Average home price in that neighborhood is 17 million, guy was 52 years old and likely well off, I suspect this was an enthusiast/collector with lots of money who got a little carried away over the years.

Which means he'll likely have a sizable war chest with which to fight his case. It will be interesting to see what ATF's actual case winds up looking like.

You would think the city would honor him for keeping so many guns off the street!!
