Just hopped over to the tapco site for a sec and here's what I found.

Hmmmmm. Magpul really needs to get the MOE handguards out.

It looks like they used a set of Legos to make a forearm........

The quality may/may not be decent, but the look of that has alot to be desired.

this is just as hideous as everything else Crapco has ever made...maybe uglier even

i love MagPul. i'm a very big fan, but i dont think i'll really like the MOE hand guards. the MOE grip is cool, the stock is ok, but the handguards do nothing for me

this Tapco offering is even worse and seems to draw a lot of design features from the MOE foreend.

i think it would have been more aesthetically pleasing if they actually went ahead and used actual legos to make a handguard.

And it would be the most modular forend ever made.

Ah....no.

This pic is the best:

Upwards of $3000 of lights, lasers and optics parked on a $60 rail.

Their AK triggers, AK front sight tool and sponsoring Tactical Impact are the only good things I can think of about TAPCO. This forend does nothing to change my mind.

That thing is pretty disgusting.

I am convinced the only thing they make that is really worth a crap is the G2 triggers and sight adjustment tools for AKs.

At least I know I am not the only one that likes a few things they make or sell.

I will admit I do like tapco's g2 triggers. At least they do make one good thing.

It would have been neat if tapco could have made a polymer handguard with rails or had the option to add rails and done it in way way that made sense. I guess that was asking too much. The market could use something in the way of an affordable handguard that would be strong enough for a light and possibly a vfg. I guess Stickman's review of the MOE handguard showed that something of that sort is coming out and I really like magpul products, but it would have been nice to have other options out there. Too bad tapco did what they usually do when making something.

There's something that has been bothering me about two of the pictures of the handguards on their site. The ones I'm talking about is the one in flat dark earth and the one that's lying in the dirt. Can anyone identify who makes the mag in the gun? The rib pattern kind of reminds me of tapco's new ak mag.

And you could use one of these for a front BUIS.

Thanks for giving me dumb ideas. Now I want to break out my old legos when I get home and make a lego handguard and maybe a lego eotech. I wonder what other lego accessories I could make?

Just on a funny side note, I just remembered how I did use legos once on my gun. I just got an aimpoint and wasn't sure if I wanted to get a mount with full or 1/3 cowitness. I made some lego risers and held that and the aimpoint on the gun with rubberbands. It helped me decide to go with a 1/3 cowitness. I'm sure this story ranks right up there with coloring a lower with crayons.

To the point of being unworthy of any serious discussion in any context.
