But then you'll be out the 1200-1400 dollars for the gun.

(when they take it.... not when you buy it.)

Ahhh, the almighty 6929. These should go before any other rifle. It always helps to have a couple on hand. I am working towards my third.
I too am having trouble finding them for a decent price. I will keep you posted.

This shop in the Milwaukee, WI area (http://www.proguns.com/)has them on hand / inbound. However, the price is some $300 more than it was prior to the election.

Don't worry, come to Las Vegas. Black Rifle Armory has some for the paltry sum of $1899.(and according to the guy on the phone, "hurry, they're going fast"). See, if you wait around long enough there will be a great deal to be had.:D

I'm glad that I already have one. :D I've ordered some new 30 round Pmags and plan to stock up on some ammo. I can't afford another 6920 though.

Tanners Sport Center sold me mine for $1199. I sent him a thank you email and he replied that he was hoping to get a bunch in soon and was going to try to keep them the same price. My advice is you had better look him up and I mean soon.

That's the same price they've had up for at least a year. You also save $50.00 iirc off their reliability package.

I sent a number of emails, looking for a 6920!

Thanks for the extra contacts!

Lets see who gets them in!

One local gun store told me today on the phone they just sold out of 6920s. They claimed it took them 4 years to get them. I kinda find that hard to believe. They are one of the largest in the area.

I think you're getting a line of BS. My dealer is not big by any means and he stocks them on a regular basis. 4 years... sure...

Impact Guns in Ogden had a few 6920's when I was at the Ogden store on Thursday night. They were going for $1820 each. I asked the guy behind the counter if Colt had raised their prices and he said that is what they always have been.

Evan,

I completely agree, they're BSing the folks and taking advantage. I dealt with them once. I wasn't looking forward to again, either.

I first went to Keene's Depot. I really Pat there, he's an upright kinda guy and they have decent prices usually. He has some 6920 on order and siad they will be priced based on what he has to pay for them. He just got some Colt A2s in, they're at $1300.

I ran into Grant several years ago on GT. I sent him an email on Sunday and he immediately responded! He's got some due in this week.

LE Sales has them in stock for $1575 and no LEO/Military discount because of supply. Is that nice or what? I'm retired military and current LEO.

Like I told Grant in my email. I have procrastinated too long!:o

Tanners is out of stock, but they hope to keep them priced at $1200.

So the saga continues! Same Bat time! Same Bat Channel!!:D

Demand is crazy. My local dealer is a small shop so buys through distributors rather than direct. He got ahold of a handful of 6920's recently and set them back (although he sold me one of them). One of his distributors called him last week offering to buy them back for $200 or so above what he paid.

Another dealer called him with a customer offering $2000 if he knew of any.

If you can find them up here in Canada, they command a real premium. There's one listed on a forum, here's the 'important' part.

FS: NIB Colt LE6920, price lowered! $3200 shipped

Pretty crazy huh?

Glad I already have one. And in my profession, I might be able to find another at a much better price than the one above. But still more than what you guys are paying. :(

Picked mine up from Grant last night.

Very good transaction. I would definately give him a call.

Prices are going up some b/c the mfg is raising them.

I've heard stories of wholesalers having their orders put on hold by some companies b/c they are building complete rifles with them due to demand.

Hopefully the buzz will die down sometime soon. I looked for awhile for mine and was lucky to have someone point me in the right direction to get one for a solid price.

Good luck.

$1550 as advertised online at his website.

Def worth the price considering I've heard stories or people paying 2k at shows and laying down the plastic b/c who knows what the supply will be later on.

Give him a call. I believe there's a wait list for the new batch coming in, but hopefully he can help you out.

Hindsight will be interesting on these. Are they worth the $1600-$1800 people are asking and getting, or more?

A year from now we'll have a better idea.

The 6920 heavy barrels were going for about $1200 in 2003 or so, then $1400 after the sunset in 2004, and the few still available at SAW are now $2400.

I bought mine because I wanted to have the best out of the box AR I possibly could. Noveske, Colt and LMT all came up in my research but only the Colt was readily available in my area. I've never seen a complete Noveske or LMT AR in the DFW area.
