My local sheriff likes to deny veterans pistol purchase permits. Imagine if he had that power for ccw.
My local sheriff likes to deny veterans pistol purchase permits. Imagine if he had that power for ccw.If the sheriff can deny the pistol permit isn't that in fact denying ccw or does the NC state police run that system there?

Once you get a ccw you are not required a pistol purchase permit. He can deny pistol purchase for anything and label it under the good moral character clause, and may issue. but the ccw does not have that clause and is a shall issue not a may issue.

It's TrAsheville, what would you expect? Sadly, NC will be solid blue by the end of the decade. :(
Wow, NC was on my short list of states I have been considering as FL may not be for me much longer. Not good!
Y’all are welcome here in SC to offset all the others moving here by the minute. Don’t try to change the place, please, and you’ll also want to avoid Charleston and Columbia.
