Took possession of a UW Gear minuteman chest rig a few months ago. Thought having a chest rig and a belt rig set up to compliment each other would be a good idea for range and classes one day. More than enough kit for low speed guys like me. Having used the chest rig a while, I thought I’d share my opinion. Just in case someone’s in the market.
- it’s hell for stout and simple
- mags are really secure in their “ tuck tab “ system
- enough space on the sides for a small BOK and GP pouch
- it rides high, and I think would pair up well with a belt rig
- the material and build quality are great. US and hand made to order
- not as fast as open top pouches, but not slow either. And very secure
