I am so over the handwringing on "over penitration" concerns related to common defensive carry HG rounds.
I have looked for but not found what I want to see -
A test wherein standard prep ballistic gel with 2 - 4 layers of denim representing average depth of a human upper torso, a chronograph result of any exiting projectile, a 5 or 10 foot distance and then another standard prep ballistic gel with 2 - 4 layer of denim.
% of rounds that exited?
How fast is the exiting projectile?
What is the penitration on the second block?
I have never seen this and I will venture to say that if it does exist it would show that the fear of overpenitration from common defensive carry rounds is largely ill founded.
Any insight?
