Yes. Abnormal if there are no scratches. Welcome more.

Could be a sign of something more serious.

You need a new barrel. :(

Scratches don't appear on your barrel by mistake. Sounds like you need to start exercising some muzzle control.

I second the notion that your only option is a new barrel. Be more careful with that one.

Perhaps it is the throwing it that caused the scratches:D . The only time I would throw my rifle is it I ran out of ammo.

Sorry I couldn't help myself

OMG !!!!

Are you serious? I think you may need to send it back.

If it's a COLT 6920, Noveske N4 or LMT CQB 16 MRP, they all have the same address to return it to.

Ohhhh ... i forgot to mention that its on the outside layer of the barrel ... lol. The scratches aren't on the INSIDE of the barrel but the OUTSIDE.

Everyone was talking about "if i had scratches INSIDE my barrel right"

Actually they were mocking you. Some people can be so insensitive. Listen, what you need to do is sprinkle some baby powder on your barrel and then apply a thick layer of vagisil. Don't ask me how it works but it will take the scratches out.

this has gone on long enough. i can't believe no one single person has let up. this guy has a question, and everyone's mocking him for no reason. what'd he ever do to you?

You gotta fix the scratches. dependin on how deep they are, you'll either rust your barrel or possibly even cause a rupture. i recommend you STOP shooting until you get that addressed!

here's what you do- first, you'll need fill a 4 gallon propane tank with anhydrous ammonia, 5 gallons of starter fluid, 84 boxes of psudafed (NOT "daytime" or "non-drowsy, the regular red box), gather about 40 lithium batteries, lots of long rubber hose, bottle of sufuric acid, a couple 2 liter GLASS (not plastic!) bottles, 5 gallon bucket, and lots of aluminum foil.

you'll need to enlist the help of at least two bikers, preferably with swatzika tattoos..............
