where can I get a light weight barreled Carbine upper ?

I am looking at building a light weight AR with a 16 inch barrel or a 14.5 with a permanitely attached flash hider. I want it to be as light as possible and be a flat top. All I see out there are M4 profile barrels. I want a pencil barrel.

Grant had a good deal going at one point... Not so sure about now.

I have no experience with them but it may be worth a look. Or call Grant and see what he can do.

Find a used AR6520 upper group and swap the upper receiver.

Or, send another known-good for reprofiling.
