I had a LaRue IronDot (PF version) and for the price I thought it was good. Keep in mind that you also get a BUIS in the package (non low pro) so its a pretty good value.

Yes, the Micro AP is an all around better optic. LaRue and ADM make a great mount for it, too. But you will pay a bit more to get all the bennies of the AP. Ive seen the AP H1 go for just over $400.00 and that is as good as it get really.

If there is any chance that your weapon will be for HD or duty use I say go with the AP Micro. Hopefully others will chime in also.

I've got an Aimpoint Micro H-1 on my RRA tactical carry handle. I get a pretty good 1/3 co-witness from that set up, so I'm satisfied with it.

The handle came with the rifle. I don't think I would have sought it out had it not already been on there. But it allowed me to purchase just the AP, and not have to spend additional funds on an optic mount and BUIS.
