If both are exactly the same price, which one would be the better choice? Looking to stock up on about 20 to 30 extra mags in the near future and these two brands seem to be popping up on the more budget end of the spectrum but still have good reviews. Not looking to use these for competition or anything. Just looking to load them up and sock them away. Thanks!

Can't speak to the hexmag but the d&h with Magpul followers are gtg. I stock up when PSA runs then for $6.99

I have both, but in the future for "bargain" will stick to D&H after the shafting the dude at Hexmag gave his own brother who was his former business partner. A man who will screw over his own family will screw over ANYONE...

Okay mil-spec can be had for $10 with Magpul followers. Botach routinely does free shipping over a certain amount and doesn't charge tax. PSA charges tax.

D&H are the best deal in magazines and they are great if you want aluminum. I don't know much about Hexmag but you can get Magpul on sale for sometimes $8-9 from PSA.

I’ve had good experiences with D&H. That’s what I’d choose in your scenario.

D&H are excellent and are also rebranded by other gun manufacturers.

D&H. Proven and good track record.
I’ve run ntmsh (or whatever the bran is), pmags (multiple gens), D&H, and hexmags through my rifles, hexmag was the only ones to cause feeding issues. They were 1st gen fwiw.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like D&H are good to go, which makes me feel good. I’ll keep an eye out for them to come up on sale and start stocking up.

D&H holds value better than a Hexmag, too.

No questions, D&H is lightyears ahead of Hexmag

Gen2 10/30 HEXMAGS from a few years ago were great and allowed for easy cleaning. But then they started gluing the baseplate so u can't disassemble it (obviously for legal liability in restricted states)

DSG Arms isn't quite as good as PSA's price, but they also have D&H branded for them.

Here in WA I take it in the shorts for a dime on the dollar in sales tax, so... assumptions: 1. If ordering from PSA, order 10+ and ONLY mags for the free shipping, 2. if ordering from DSG order 10-packs and get the $2 expedited shipping which is cheaper than regular ground AND faster.

From my Mag Price spreadsheet for D&H's, including shipping and taxes:
*PSA x10, when on 7.99 daily-deal: $87.81 w/tax, free shipping (8.78 ea)
*BCM x100 (case-lot): $879.20 w/tax, free shipping (8.79 ea)
*DSG x10: $91 delivered expedited (9.10 ea)

When did this start?

When did this start?I believe it started in spring 2019....glued or riveted to prevent disassembly/modification.

Yea, i looked into it more. They are riveted.

This sucks for people who train in the sand in ban states. I like to take mine apart and clean the sand out.

D&H are good to go.

I picked up a handful of 15rd Hexmags recently to test out, but I don't have much time on them yet, so I'll reserve judgement. FWIW, their floor plates are NOT riveted. I bought them recently from Midway, but they could be old stock or something. Dunno.

While behind enemy lines I ordered about 100 D&H mags to my cousins house in PA since they were $6.99 and free shipping.

Maybe I need to do more reps at the gym but they seem way harder to load than PMags or Surefeed E2 mags. Is that just me? It's almost as if the stack of rounds or follower are dragging on the inside of the mag body. Maybe a dry-film lube?

Limited Hexmags are crap. I would consider Hexmags okay for range fun, not a class or SHTF.

Thanks for the heads up on HEXMAGS. My 2016 vintage Hexmag G2s literally snap together and run 100% well, too.

GOOD NEWS!!! Sentry e-mailed me today. They said that only 10/15 round Hexmags have the riveted bottom. That means the thirty round S2s are the same as before, too!

As others have said, D&H is good to go for me too. I haven't had any issues with mine. Every so often, when PSA has them on sale, I'll go to the store and grab a few out of the big cardboard box they have them in.

I was part of a T&E group for a while and during our testing the Hexmags and Amend2 mags gave us by far the most issues. D&H or Magpul M2’s are the best for the price.

I had a few problems with the gen1 hexmags, gen2's have been ok so far. I will have to get some D&H mags
