I've been thinking about getting a .22lr kit for me G19. I am clueless on the subject. Any ideas?

Advantage Arms is the way to go.

Great kits in my experience. (I have owned two).

+1 regarding Advantage Arms. Go ahead and order a few extra mags beyond what comes in the kit. Ten rounds of 22lr go downrange fast. Great training aid.

+1 on AA...

get the L.E. version...you can change the sights to be whatever your choice of sights is for your standard glock...makes for great training...same sight picture, trigger pull, etc., etc.

having said that...good luck finding one...they are really hard to track down...

Is there any game in town outside of Advantage Arms?

Ceiner makes a 22LR kit for Glocks but I don't have any first hand experience with them. I can only tell you that from what I've read they don't have a good reputation especially when compared to the AA kits.

By all accounts the AA kits are the top dog in 22LR conversion kits. I know I certainly enjoy mine :)

Another vote for the AA. Umpteen thousand rounds on mine.

Keep it wet.

Use only the recommended ammo.

I had a Ciener; it was terrible. Light strike about every 30 rounds. By contrast, we have a dozen AA units at the Rogers School and they perform quite well.

Is the AA kit the way to go for 1911 .22 cal kits as well?
