I'm too new to post in the marketplace so I'm here looking for a factory Colt bolt carrier group. With forward assist groves. Anyone got one for sale? I just ordered a Colt 6721 HB upper but it didn't come with a BCG. Thanks.

Check Brownell's, I think that I have seen them there.

Yeah. The carrier alone is $275.

I just sold one on TOS for $200, and saw another one listed for $220 if that helps you get a gauge of the market. The BCMs are nice too. But I'm kinda nutty about running a Colt part in a Colt upper too!

You know, as I read the thread, I knew it was you posting, but I didn't even notice that you got your old name back... perhaps it was your avatar.

How much did you have to pay the poster formerly known as markm?

It was free. He's now "Mark-Va"

87 dollars.
LOL

BTW, I once bought a brand new complete Colt BCG off of arfcom's EE for a reasonable price. Good deals may be scarce now, but keep looking.

I've left them several messages but no response. That's where I ordered my upper from too. They were out of the BCG's at the time & said to check back periodicaly. Damn, I don't want to spend $300+! LOL! I checked on ar15.com but they won't let me register to contact sale ads becuase I have a yahoo email address. Losers. Thanks for the help folks! Keep the leads coming!

WOOHOO! I just got ahold of Hoplite & while they are out of stock on Colt BCG's, the gentleman I spoke with said for 10% more than their regular $170, he'll take one out of a new Colt rifle for me. SOLD!!! Thanks for the leads in the meantime fellas!

Really? Considering how everything AR related is almost dry, I was happy to pay $200 for it. Plus, they are now parting out a rifle to free up a bolt for me. It beats the alternative of piecing it together from Brownells or the other few places who sell them for $350+. No? I don't understand.

My concern is what they're doing with the complete rifle. If they're parting it out, that's one thing. But if they're replacing the bolt later and selling it as a factory Colt, that's not good.... even if they put a real COLT BCG back in it.

If I'm buying a Colt, I want the gun just how it left the factory.

Didn't a member here recently buy a Colt rifle with a non-Colt bolt carrier in it?

That one turned out to be an accidental swap on the guy's part.

Ah, I see your point. We can't have "Colt" stamped on our lowers here in CA so buying a complete Colt rifle is only a wet dream. That would suck if they did that & re-sold the rifle with parts that didn't come with that particular gun from the factory. They did tell me that they are parting them out in their defense though. Anyhow, I'm stoked!

markm

Yeah. It works out good for you.

There is a good amount of money in parting out a Colt rifle!

Sometimes J&T distributing has colt parts. I bought a Colt M16 BCG at a gunshow for 100 dollars from them

exactly the old bait and switch. "We don't have any Colt's but we do have XXX manufactured Ar's"
