Has anyone tried the Choate stock? It seems to be similar to the SOPMOD and is about 60% cheaper.

Yea I have heard it will pull facial hair. I have SOPMOD's on all my rifles but came across this while looking at rifle stocks and was curious of the quality for the price.

here's a comparison between the Choate and LMT SOPMOD done some years ago, though the photo links don't work any more.

all told, it seems the Choate came out very well.

Anyone else? I've been interested in these since they have the features I want.

I've installed and later removed 1 Choate SOPMOD type stock. It's castle nut didn't fit my wrench and the stock overall felt cheap.....statistic of one.

That review is good enough for me. I guess I'll get a vltor modstock.
