Hi all,

Looking for a light weight m-lok rail that fits on a standard GI barrel nut. Last time I looked the centurion was the only option. Does anyone else make one?

ETA: I do NOT have a FBS on this rifle.

Centurion C4 mlock would be my first choice.

Many of the Troy rails use standard barrel nut. I believe the Alpha line

Midwest also has a 2 piece option

Fortis Night rails as well. Rainier has an oem from tehm that uses too i think

That is all i can think of right now

I used Troy Alpha and Samson Evolution rails a few years back when I wasn't equipped to mess around swapping barrel nuts. They're ok but if I was doing it again now I'd get a Centurion rail.

The new MLOK which Centurion Arms makes, is a great rail from my limited experiences of a handful of them over the last few months.

It’s from Fortis Mfg, pretty crazy and locks up super tight.

Check out the Troy Socc rail. It's like the old alpha, but tapers right after the barrel nut and is super slim.

Check out the Daniel Defense Omega mlok handguards. They have a 7.0" and 9.0" version (I'm guessing you have an A2 fsb)

My brother has the original quad rail Omega, and it's great! Free floated and very secure fit too.

Do you have a front sight base combined with a carbine/midlength gas system to contend with? A low profile gas block installed so rail length isn't limited? How long of a rail are you considering?

I liked the SOCC.

I've had one for about 1 year and its been great. I did several drop tests on carpet from shoulder height to see if the rail would twist or come loose, it held up great. The 12.5 inch is only about 7.5 ounces

I should have noted (and will update tot original post) that I do NOT have a FSB on this rifle.

I have the Fortis Rev II rail. Uses standard barrel nut and I ground down the FSP and installed a 14" (actually 14.8") Fortis rail over it. Didn't even have to remove the FSP since I cut off the Delta ring, the snap ring and the weld spring carefully with a dremell.

Big fan of the troy socc rail. BCM mlok rail covers line up fairly decent on it too.

VTAC Alpha Battle Rail. MLOK stuff hooks up to it just fine. I like it alot.

So do I, very solid. I don't think there is a better option when it comes a zero modification rail change out on an FSB gun.

For the OP's use I'd go with the new Centurion C4 M-Lok

Folks have this one covered.

Troy or Centurion. I'd get whichever was available the cheapest. I've owned several Troy rails and they have never been anything but solid as a rock. Haven't had the pleasure of owning a Centurion rail, but from those that I've handled, they're pretty great.

I wouldn't feel cheated by either.

Centurion. They're great people too.

I've been running a Troy on my 12.5 for about a year, maybe a year and a half. It's surprisingly solid. It's a good option if you want/need to use a standard barrel nut.
