How many of these rifles were manufactured before the Colt ceased production ? I'm trying to get an ideal of the production number of rifles sold in the United States and the availability of spare parts & accessories as of the date of this post. Any insight into this question would be greatly appreciated. :thank_you2:

They will be made again at the end of the year.

You should be able to contact Colt and get some figures. I enjoy mine and I hope Colt does bring them back. I’m jealous the Canadian army has the C20 version of the 901. That thing looked awesome from the testing that they showed for it. Held .66 moa groupings on average for 144 groupings during testing.

I contacted Colt and the customer representative told me they didn't have access to that information

They will be made again at the end of the year.

What makes you think so? My second question would be what changes will be made?

I have serious doubts about the rifle returning to the US civilian market. I recently e-mailed Colt's Chief Design Checker, Larry Robbins about the Colt 901 in reference to production numbers and a different subject. Larry said Colt doesn't share that information and apparently he was correct as Patrick who responded to my inquiry from Colt said they didn't have access to that information.

Well, it may not be the LE901, but the CM762/CM65 series that is being talked about as available again.

I group them all into the same 'rifle' category but the LE901 is a bit different and I could see that upper not being offered again.

I hope the CM762/CM65 returns to civilian sales, really do...

Again, that's the rumor from higher ups at Colt, back sometime in the fall.

I think they are hard to beat in the $1400-1500 price point (if Colt can sustain that, which is what you could get them at last summer).

Once you get past $2k price point, they have stiff competition from DD / LMT / etc, which is why I think the LE901 variant floundered.

Very glad I picked mine up. Haven't gotten to shoot much lately since my 2 ranges are closed.
