I'm looking for the best roll pin starter/punch set that includes the most common AR15 sizes. I've been using this Tekton set (https://www.tekton.com/gunsmith-punch-set-66564) and it's been great, but I feel there is something better out there. Their metal seems a bit soft for my gorilla hands. What are you guys using?

2nd for Grace USA. Definitely take a look at a good roll pin holder set as well.

The Grace and brownells brand are good. They will also replace if ever bent etc.

Real Avid has a decent set as well with hammer etc. Includes roll pins and regular punches

I broke one of those and Brownell's replaced it - so maybe not the best in terms of durability, but warranty is good.

I was looking for punch set a couple of weeks ago cause I was fumbling with the gas tube roll pin on my 14.5" Colt upper. I was successful at removing the roll pin out of the FSB but going back in was a different story. I've got gorilla fingers and you know the rest of the story. When the roll pin hits the floor in the garage it's gone for ever so I've been on mission to find a roll pin holder/starter tool and stumbled onto Geissele's roll pin starter tool last night & this thread this evening. It look's like I'll be buying either the Obsidian Arms or Brownell's kit this weekend. Great thread!
I bought https://obsidianarms.com/product/complete-ar-15-armorers-punch-set-12-piece/ tonight!

Unknown about made in China, but generally Wheeler gets OK reviews. The parent company is Battenfield Industries and according to them:

Battenfeld is the industry leading manufacturer of shooting, reloading, gunsmithing and gun cleaning supplies.

We produce innovative, top quality products under the brands consumers recognize and have learned to trust. Our Engineering staff is dedicated to delivering superior products through an intensive ISO 9001:2000 process. With great retail packaging, an aggressive advertising campaign and a professional staff focused on customer service Battenfeld is committed to excellence and eager to earn your business.

Does that ISO 9001 thing apply to Chinese made stuff, IDK.

Anyways, you spent $30.00 on a roll pin starter set, I'd wait to see if the were serviceable before popping another $65.00 into the Obsidian Arms set.

Thanks for the info. I will say I have there Fat Wrench and have for a few years and it has worked very nicely! Makes sense,I will get the Pin set and give it a try,I have a few ARs in the works so they will get used as soon as I receive them. The Obsidian set is a more complete set with "extra" tools that look handy to have so time will tell. Again thank you for the info & doing the research I should of done. ;)

No prob. One thing about the Obsidian Arms set and anything you buy from Brownell's - lifetime warranty.
