I heard the same but dont know the specifics
That's been the word on the street for the past few weeks.
I've already heard it from three sources.
Does this really surprise anyone?

I think some general just got himself a nice job at colt when he retires. With full dental!

Wasn't the colt's entry a joint project with general dynamics? And a DI system?

All I can say is NO.
There was a "down select" and there is at least 3 companies still invovled (that I know of).
JFC. I work under PG 13 IWS, and without getting into specifics, no, there is NO final decision on who's getting the IAR contract. OTF is still doing LUEs, ffs.
If somebody is saying a decision has been made, it's only to win internet arguments, and they're so full of crap that their eyes are brown. Or, they're suffering from a very agressive form of wishful thinking.
I'm sure you have all heard the Special Olympics analogy about internet arguments.
I hope a contract is issued. It will be hard for industry to trust future potential "contracts" if all of our efforts were for nothing. Not to mention the horrible waste of money . I would hate to think of how much money has been spent so far between testing and contracting not to mention industry dollars spent on chasing a "moving target".

+1 Reminds me of the reason I haven't slept in 48 hours...
I figured theyd have gone for the Modified Ultimax 100, Interesting Colt though!
