Anyone used the Noveske qd flush mount for push button sling swivels? ( https://noveske.com/products/flush-qd-sling-mount/?SID=c68c0f21a65eaeb447fe29c91fadb679) I put an A2 on a rifle and first thing I did was grind off the rear loop so it would ride rear bag best. Seems in several reviews that people are breaking the Noveske mount during installation which leaves me wondering if I'll just cut a slot thru stock to run sling thru.... Thx

I used an IWC QD Mount on my Magpul MOE handguard. It's been flawless. It was easy to install as well, but you need to have access for a hex key in the rear. You might not have that with an A2 stock.

Another alternative might be to cut a slot to MLOK dimensions and use an MLOK QD mount. Not sure how strong that might be. The old MOE mounting would probably be better, they have a huge nut in the rear. ;)

Went to site of product you suggested and looked up installation instructions. Lo and behold, it linked an m4 thread: https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?77525-Review-IWC-QD-MICRO-MOUNT-N-SLOT-as-installed-into-a-MOE

I guess strongest would be slots and sling thru, but I desire convenience of qd. Won't be jumping out of airplanes with it.... With report of Noveske flange breaking, I'm leaning heavily to the suggested IWC, unless someone chimes in with a big heck no! Thanks again.

I can't speak for the Noveske QD mount but I've used the IWC version that tlw613sp mentioned on a couple occasions with no problems. Once on a polymer AK stock and the other on an old SOPMOD stock.

I suggest a TangoDown A2 sling mount adapter:

Not what you are asking about, but my go to fixed rifle stock is the Magpul MOE Rifle stock...

https://magpul.com/firearm-accessories/stocks/ar15-m4-m16-sr25-m110-ar10/moe-rifle-stock.html?mp_global_color=118

Rides a bag well, has a sling loop plus qd points, can pull it in tight to your shoulder if thats your style, has storage in the butt stock...

Never did like trying to get an A2 to ride a bag.

Thanks for replies. Tango down looks like a stout no brainer, but may be a little obtrusive for a low drag low speed old fart like me. Aware of MOE stock, but like the slope of A1/A2 underside for elevation adj, and I happened to trip over an A2 with spring/buffer/tube for $60 including install. Yeah, I did upgrade spring/buffer....

IWC here we come?
