...If the press is to be believed.

"The NGSW's auto rifle variant is so promising that PEO SOF Warrior may not go forward with a separate effort to develop a light machine gun chambered for 6.5mm Creedmoor, he added.

"We have currently put our 6.5mm Creedmoor lightweight machine gun on hold pending the results of the Next Generation Squad Weapon," Babbitt said.

Looks promising.
I would like to know if these are going to be mounted in vehicles.
Adding another caliber and all.

I have a tendency to doubt that it's going to go anywhere. It's too much of a pipe dream. They want a 6.8 with the range and power of a .338 Lapua, but the recoil impulse of the 5.56, and in a package that's lighter than the M4 or M249? I'm sorry, but we're just not there yet.

Developed with operator input, just like the SCAR.

Maybe a good thing for further development of current on the market civvy loads?

That thing looks ugly as all hell. I'm sure it'll change before any finalized versions, but man, this interim stage doesn't look good.
