Gentlemen,

I'm about to buy a Colt A1 stock from someone over on TOS.

To his credit, he said that he can not guarantee that it's Colt. It was sold to him as Colt, but he has no way to confirm.

It's new...and in it's original packaging.

The packaging is marked:

VPI

Ludlow Corporation

There is a bar code sticker on the package which reads exactly as follows:

1005-00-489-0369
75376 P/N 8448650
STOCK, GUN SHOULDER
1 EA
DAAA09-83-C-4823

A 2/B4

Thoughts?

I'd like to give this guy an answer soon.

Anything with a GI label is a GI part.

It could be a factory replacement and technically didn't come on factory produced Colts but this only matters if you are force matching a gun together for a collector.

1005-00-489-0369 appears to be the NSN. Thats a gov't part.
