My brother-in-law has finally seen the light and wants to pick up a G19. I called my local-ish shop and asked if they had any in stock. They do, but the person I spoke with quoted me a price of $750. Is that how much they sell for now?

$530 is the lowest I see locally. $750 is robbery.

Here's a webpage listing some MSRPs of various G19 models.
https://lipseys.com/itemfinder?mfg=GLOCK&family=G19+Series&type=Semi-Auto+Pistol

A G19Gen5 MOS' msrp is $745.

The best prices are usually a "Blue Label" or GSSF price (anyone can qualify for a GSSF price if a 2 year membership is bought ahead of time). A regular (non MOS, no nightsights) G19gen3-4 would go for ~$425 depending on the FFL.

Low to mid $500. Depending on sights

Depends, where are you / gunshop located?

$750 is generally high but prices can vary on location.

I was thrown when I found out the price. The shop I called I always considered one of the good ones. Great selection, decent prices, staff that isn’t completely moronic. During Obama’s two terms they didn’t price gouge. But something must have snapped with the owner. Maybe he’s desperate because he was forced to close up shop for the past couple of months. Maybe he’s simply showing his true colors now that he has a captive audience and little to no competition. (The county in which his shop is located has allowed gun stores to open back up, the ones in mine are still shuttered.) But either way I still think $750 is crazy high.

Glad I’m not one of the schmucks that needs a gun right now.

I’m in CA, in the Bay Area.

Is it MOS? That will increase the price $110-$130.

Nope, just a basic Gen 3 G19.

My local LE toy store still has some Gen 4s, with regular sights for $398. The only Gen 5 they have left is one with AmeriGlo sights for $476. (Blue label prices)

I was going to say the guy is probably gouging because of the civil unrest. But you being in Kalifornia changes everything. I have no idea what premiums are required to purchase in Kali but I'm sure there are a bunch. Good luck.

Normal is ~ $600. More expensive than most of the nation, but understandable given the conditions here. My county just allowed its gunshops to re-open, and the one I like to patronize is selling them for $599. Looks like that’s the one my brother-in-law will go to as well.

Then you are dealing with the phenomenon of "Supply and Demand"...

$500 - $530 was the going rate until the recent civil unrest. The local shops are sold out and we can probably expect a price increase when they become available again.

I own a Gen 5 Glock 19 and it is an accurate pistol. It's what I have been carrying on the night shift lately.

Time to go to work.

Lol @ all the “$500” posts.

Bunch of people disconnected from reality.

You guys who are saying prices under $550 - I want you to call a gun shop in a metro area of 100k people or more and ask how much their Glock 19s are.

When they are done laughing and tell you they haven’t had any in stock in weeks, ask what they’d charge if they had some in stock.

That $700.00 price tag is for the "I never thought I would ever need a gun for self protection" market.

Someone will gladly pay it.

Stupid can be expensive.

Prices have gone insane, completely insane. I saw Blue label Gen 5 34's for 6 something. I asked my buddy, he said Glocks at SGC were normally 3 to 400 ish in the past. The 34's are $750 street.

Its just nuts, people buying guns for the first time.

I was under the impression that Glock was very against dealers selling blue label for anything other than the set price they provided. I don’t know what the G34 price is, but the non-MOS 19s and 45s are sub $500.

Blue Label should be at a set price, I have to find a local Blue Label dealer that will take my GSSF coupon...some don't.

I saw a 17 and 34, but both were Gen5 MOS, so those prices were not attractive.

I just got on Gunbroker and looked up 17's. They were 799, and I'm not surprised. I've seen 9mm for almost 40 bucks a box (50 rounds).

I was up to one of my local gun guys and he had a Gen4 19 for normal price,I didn't even look at it cuz I'm not a fan but dam maybe I should grab it as a Investment,,,;) I will say things are a bit crazy out there. Makes me glad I'm very well set for the foreseeable future !

I was checking out G19 Gen5/mos, and M&P M2.0 compact 4", on Gunbroker just a few days ago.

The best online prices I've seen recently for new G19/MOS were $750, but many at $800, $850, or more, likely the average is into the mid 800's.

It's crazy town. I expect after the current surge of 'panic' demand for firearms is met and all the previously non-gun-owning Suburban Susie's have gotten their pistol that they'll never shoot, firearm prices will drop back down to a more sane range. Best guess would be around mid next year, unless Trump loses the election and the legislative situation goes totally sideways for pistols.

What's gonna be the far worse problem, and I don't see any short-term end in sight to this one, is the ammunition supply. I think we are hosed, for years, on being able to stock up on any factory loaded ammunition.

$549 -$599 is what I was seeing before the mess. In the current environment $750 may be a good price. Low supply and high demand make for higher prices.

One off the benefits of joining GSSF...you get blue label pricing if you sign up two yrs or more...

I think I paid 459 or something around that back in the early summer on a g19 Gen 5..... This was from a large LGS in my area and I had called 10 to 12 in the Eastern part of PA and no one had any in stock...

Just bought a new one in Maine for 525.99. Gen 3. Kittery trading post has a few in stock. Also had a G17 Gen 3 for the same price. I bought it as a range toy as I like the texture of the gen 3 but got spoiled on the mag release of the Gen 4.

$500-$570 currently, LGS, non-Blue Label. I did a search online, also, prior to selling one of my G19’s yesterday, and turned up similar prices, but I did not check stock status online. They are about $400 at my cop store. In fact, I bought a Gen 5 G22 MOS yesterday for $478. Gen 5 non-MOS models were all about $400.

Bought a new Glock 45 at a gunshop two weeks ago. $515 and tax. That was their dealer cost from the distributor. Put 100 rounds through it to make sure it ran well and sent it off to Agency for a complete Sage Dynamics build. Will be my first "comped" pistol....
