Anyone know of any good websites for purchasing close to spec parts for a mk 12 clone I'm working on? I've tried operation parts.com but a lot of their products are either out of stock often or very expensive.

What version clone are you looking at? Mod 0, mod 1?

Some parts have been harder to come by recently. What are you looking for exactly.

I've built most of my guns from parts found on the EE.

Brownell's has the KAC handguard and front sight in stock, as of yesterday.

Centurion Arms sells them, too. I'd check them out for anything MK12 related.

Monty (owner of Centurion Arms) has a lot of real world time with the Mk12, and he is a big fan of it. CA is a good source for some of the stuff Mk12 builders and buyers might be looking for.

Agreed. If money were no object the Centurion Arms MK12 barrel would be my choice.

OP. I’ve gone back and forth doing similar and while my preference would be to collect the appropriate colt and associates mod1 components if I decide to pull the trigger on an upper or complete rifle I’m just going to buy one from Monty.

Probably costs a few hundred more than piecing things together but to me it’s worth the hassle

Another vote for Monty. I used his mk12 barrel in my mod 1 build and its a shooter. They also will set the barrel up for a taper pin gas block install if you want.
