I'm going to mount an offset RMR on my LPVO dressed carbine and am wondering which size dot you all prefer for that purpose.

ETA: That obviously should have 3.25 in the poll but you guys know that. Damn keyboard. :sarcastic:

I would go with the larger. You’re looking for quick up close, the dot it plenty big enough to be seen quick but small enough to have the precision needed. I think the 1moa is a little small for a quick hitting back up system.

3.25 is what I bought. Works fine for up close to out to 350 once you figure out the holdovers.

I'm in the process of swapping all my dots to 1 MOA for handguns and rifle. I find they are crisper and you can always turn up the brightness which makes the dot bigger. Longer shots are always better with a smaller dot.

3.25 I think 1moa is too small. I got to use a LCO a few years ago and I hated the 1 moa dot. I have a 3.25 rmr and I like it.

I use the same RMRs on my pistols as on my rifles, so that if one RMR craps the bed on a gun that I need it on, I can pull it off a gun that I don't need it on while the dead one is going back to Trijicon.

So for me, that means 3.25 MOA.

Even if the RMR were 100% for a shoulder-fired arm, 100% of the time, I'm not sure I'd want a 1 MOA dot without a ring around it like a Holosun (although that's usually a 2 MOA dot) or or EoTech/Vortex UH-1.

This is a big part of my wondering right there.

That is an excellent point about interchangeability between weapon, I do used 3.25 on my pistols
