Maybe we should just start a thread for "stupidest thing you've seen this week" and pin it?
Either way, if you like playing Spaceman as a kid and want to fight COVID and other future viruses better, here you go....

I'd buy it for the person who wanted it only if they spent 8 hours in the OK sun in July wearing it non-stop.

"Anti-fogging" technology? lulz

At this point, we need a "Stupidest thing you've seen this hour" thread.

Corona only wishes it was as contagious as the recent wave of stupidity we've seen.

Anyone remember the folding laundry hampers with mesh sides?

Imagine clear plastic in place of the mesh. Then imagine people turning it upside down and putting that over their heads with holes cut out in the sides so they can use their arms. Like bubble boy, except clear plastic folding laundry hampers.

Buddy of mine sent me a video of people wearing that.

I wish I were making that up. But it’s for real.

That’s it!! That’s exactly what they looked like. They were being used as social distancing cubicles. I thought they were converted laundry hampers but apparently they’re an actual thing.

The military has a portable toilet that's very similar.

I was taught as a child NOT to put plastic bags over your head.

When all of this COVID19 hysteria first started, my wife and I made a trip to a local grocery store to grab some things.

While loading our stuff in the car, I witnessed something I couldn't believe..

A woman was walking out of the store pushing a cart full of groceries. She was wearing latex gloves and an N95 mask. The mask was pulled down under her chin. She had one hand pushing the cart, and..

wait for it..

wait for it..

THE OTHER HAND WAS IN A BAG OF POTATO CHIPS.

That's right.

She was eating potato chips she had just purchased, with the same latex gloves she just used in the grocery store.

It was at that very moment, watching that woman simultaneously walk across the parking lot while eating her latex flavored ruffles chips, that the final lingering hope I had for humanity angrily packed it's shit and left my soul forever.

I now realize the asteroid in the movie Armageddon wasn't the antagonist, it was the protagonist hero that failed.

I like your Avatar and this GIF.
"I am that guy... Also was super impressed with T. Jane's detective character. Haven't seen anything with him since Punisher so this was like "Holy crap, he CAN act!"
Also, this gif pretty much sums up what I feel a lot of times; we can't have cool aliens to hang with, the Citadel, starships, super useful technology, more starships, planets to conq-um, "habitate", and other awesome space adventures because we're to stupid for the aliens to come and play with us. We'd just ruin everything... Every so often they buzz us in their saucers just to collect footage for their "galaxy's funniest home videos" show so they can laugh at us.

Heh... speaking of space aliens, with this face-pod and all the freaking out about wearing facemasks everywhere, I immediately got Quarian flashbacks. Now they can't take the suits off without immediately getting sick, possibly fatally, because they have literally zero immune system from generations of wearing their spacesuits...
Well, at least they got cooler enviro-suits than we're likely to get...

It’s funny but also depressing because it’s true...

Just imagine where we COULD be as a species.

As for Amos if he was a religion I’d follow him lol
