I'm going to SBR a 6920 to 11.5". The gun will be suppressed 100% of the time with a direct thread TDS suppressor. I believe the gas port in a 6920 is .063. would I be better off cutting and threading the Colt barrel or purchasing a reduced gas port barrel like those produced by Sionics. The TDS is very a small can with minimal back pressure.
.063 should be fine, if not on the small side.
There was a good thread on this back a bit. I considered this. Rather than pay to cut the 6920 barrel down to what would end up being just a slightly large gas port, I sold it and had BRT build an upper with their 11.5” suppressed only barrel.
The only thing I regret? Selling the 6920.
Looks like they are out of stock currently.

I’d get a barrel designed for your purpose. BRT is good, and Sionics is well-loved, too.
A consideration for you... if you check the length of your suppressor, you could potentially have someone cut down the 6920 barrel enough to allow you to pin the direct thread suppressor. Then you wouldn’t have to concern yourself with “pistol” or SBR status.

I don't want to make a redundant thread do you remember the title?
Here is mine, but others discussions exist:

Thank you for the link
Actually, with the low backpressure of the TDS suppressor, our 11.5 CQB should work beautifully, as they're setup for 50/50 suppressed.

How does one clean such a barrel?
No idea, I decided not to pin. I’m not sure it is recommended, but the suppressor I purchased happened to be a special order just for pinning (defunct company).
