Looking over FN's discontinued firearms, I notice that many say "Available for Commercial, Law Enforcement, Military". I'm guessing that this means they would do a special run if they received a large enough order for any particular gun?

Throughout their website they list which markets a gun is available for, as some of their products are military only, or LE & military. Others like the FNAR are not marketed to military. I think the wording is simply carried over from when those products were available.

Example of this wording on a current product:

That said, I imagine that FN would make their discontinued products for a large enough order, but that's probably a size beyond a realistic "group buy."

Yes, probably a military/Government order. Looks like the FNS series didn't prove to be that popular, although there's a lot of folks that seem to like it.

The prospect of a FN/FAL in 6.5 Creedmore would be interesting.

The FNAR is an awesome gun. My uncle bought one after multiple surgery's made it hard for him to run a bolt. I know its still around under Browning as the BAR, but that pistol grip and box magazine would have also made it a great option for those in places like California.
