optic for SCAR 20S? reticle?

Looking for an optic for my SCAR 20S in 308. Local range goes up to 750yds, but may travel to reach out to 1K elsewhere, but not the norm. looking to shoot the Geiselle Gas Gun Series so Im considering the RazorII 4.5-27 or the Mk5 3.6-18. If Mk5, what reticle do u pick? CCH, H59 or T3? Is there another optic you would choose? Budget limited to $2k. -thanks.

.308 gasser at a typical range of 750 or less screams Mark 5HD 3.6-18 (due to weight and footprint) and T3 (due to ubiquity as much as anything else) to me.

My buddies kid was a Ranger over seas, issued a MK 20. Topped with a Luepold MK 5...I think it was the 3-18?

Any idea what reticle it had? I’ve heard rumors that the new MK5 scopes are being issued with T3 reticles.
