This was forwarded to me by a friend from the Hal Turner website. I have heard of Hal Turner but don't know much about him. The video appears to show some type of aircraft, reportedly a drone, spraying flaming liquid over a forest. I know there are flame throwing drones but the craft sounds more like a helicopter to me, of course I don't know what a drone larger than a Mavic would sound like. Assuming this is a helicopter on some type of legitimate fire control mission what would be the purpose of doing such a thing?

5 days ago I would have raised my eyebrows at the suggestion that leftists would resort to such a tactic but I already have almost a full page of news articles confirming many of these fires have been intentionally set with multiple arrests.

3 nights ago the smoke detector went off in our house west of Portland and last night my wife and I experienced nausea and dizziness after a quick trip to the store. It's bad. This is a pic taken today looking out the window into our front yard. It has been like this for days.

After learning this about Hal Turner Im calling BS on the whole thing: https://www.infowars.com/hal-turner-admits-he-worked-for-the-fbi/

Yeah, that’s kind of a crazy video without knowing the details. I will say though, I used to fly RC helicopters and there are some large gas and even turbine helos out there. Some could do significant lifting as well. Look up Bergen Intrepid. It’s a large 5’-ish bird that could be fitted with basically a souped up chainsaw engine or a small jet turbine. They sound like a small Jet Ranger. Big money, and supposedly the guy is now building large drones(only has a Facebook page and I don’t) that look capable of hauling a good amount of weight.

Aerial ignition is used for prescribed burns. It could be used for arson but I haven't heard of it.

Looks like a helitorch being used for a controlled burn or possibly to burn a firebreak to keep the fire from spreading. When an arsonist can get the job done with $5 of gas, I don’t think they’re going to fly a helicopter with thousands of dollars of equipment attached. Or drones for that matter. It’s just so dry out there now and prescribed burns are a thing of the past it doesn’t take that much work to start anything.

A larger aircraft for this sort of thing would maintain a higher altitude, as in the OP's video and create a several mile long fire line.

The technology exists for drones, but would be for a more confined area and lower altitude. Here's an example:

I just researched prescribed aerial ignition systems. I know I just scratched the surface on the subject but according to this publications only specific approved systems may be used which seem to be variants of the "Helio torch" and "spherical plastic ignitors". The heliotorch is a large barrel that drips flaming liguid and is slung beneath a helicopter while the spherical ignitors look like orange and white ping pong balls. I could not find any device that shot flame. The approved devices are listed in page 1 of this publication. https://www.nwcg.gov/sites/default/files/publications/pms501.pdf

The projecting flame in the video reminded more of this:

That said the terrain reminded me of the Columbia River Gorge which was the site of a huge fire in 2017 caused by fireworks so Im leaning towards a legitimate proscribed burn like you guys are saying.

Flame thrower sounds and looks cool. All you'd really need is some kind of fire starter/sparker system like a flint and wheel to shed sparks over dry, hot land to start fires. Way more efficient for the weight of the system.

ANOTHER good reason to shoot down random drones!

Not ONLY am I within 2 miles of the county airport, I'm in the glidepath for Pittsburgh Intl. ANY drones around MY house, are up to NO good.
