That's my President. He doesn't normally do a teleprompter very well, but he absolutely nailed this one.

Speeches to the UN really don't amount to much otherwise everybody would be busy making sure Greta World Plan was being enforced.

The UN literally allowed a little girl to come condescend to them.

and to have her do it multiple times and then praise her for scolding them as they then worshiped her as the next savior of the world !

Hard to believe there is a group of people more pointless and ineffective than Congress.

I like the pragmatic approach. "By taking a different approach, we have achieved different outcomes, far superior outcomes." This guy isn't warm and fuzzy. He's effective and successful. He's not polite and mild mannered. He's ferocious and ruthless when defending our nation. He's not diplomatic and cautious. He's a bull in the china shop of our enemies. When arguing with people who are afflicted with TDS, I ask them what sort of man would stand up to the onslaught of attacks from the left? Would a "nice" man stand there day after day and have his character assassinated, be made fun of, be belittled and insulted, threatened, attacked, defamed, and be sneered at? No. A nice man wouldn't. He would crumble. We needed a loud mouthed, narcissistic, bombastic, bold, fearless, A-hole to go to bat for us! And as far as I'm concerned, he's done that. He's weathered an endless storm of insults and attacks, and remains bold, unaffected, and with his head held high. He calls out hypocrisy and BS like no one else, and he does so without hesitation, fear, or remorse. Good. That is what the President of the USA should be doing.

Not sure he needs to be severely character flawed, Reagan accomplished a lot while preserving most of his dignity. And bombastic style aside, I liked Trumps message, I just think it was pointless and he might as well have given it to the local Rotary Club for all the good it will do.

He's on record for both good and bad, he's given some ammo to some of his enemies and pledged support to many of his supporters. But it's not like the UN is going to suddenly stop ****ing around and start making the world a better place because Trump put them "on notice."

A number of years ago the head of climate change for UN on a hot mike admitted it was all a scam to drain wealth from developed countries.

From what I saw in Africa the UN and Red Cross, exist to provide a vehicle for stealing.

I would love to see President Trump get reelcted and defund the UN. I say that as an owner of a company that is a certified suppler to the UN.

While I agree, particularly as a Reagan Marine, that was a different time. The world we're passing down isn't the same one we were given. :(

Things change. The pendulum swings back and forth to different extremes.

Columbine wasn't the worst school tragedy, at the time that was still the Bath School Massacre of 1927.

We engaged in eugenics in the 1930s and imprisoned and forcibly sterilized people simply because we declared them indigent. The US military engaged in the Tuskeegee experiments where black men (including US military members) were not told they had syphilis and an extended study was conducted from 1932 to 1972. In some cases it appears some subjects might have been deliberately infected as part of the study. Most were only told they were part of a free health care program.

So at different times in the past we've been capable of some pretty horrific things, at other times in the past we've been pretty decent and noble. We seem to keep going back and forth, we can be decent again...especially if he have to endure very turbulent times.

I just wish we could somehow get back to the America of those black-and-white Dennis the Menace and Leave It To Beaver reruns on early cable TV I watched as a kid... and it was clear we'd already lost a lot, even to a kid in the mid-'80s.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. We CAN be decent again at some point in the future, but decent is not what is required right now to deal with this horrid, all-encompassing, Marxist assault on our country.

Yeah, every time my Dad would tell me stories about what he and his friends did it was like a scene out of Stand By Me. Bunch of 12 year olds hiking 10 miles to the edge of town to go camping over the weekend - no adults...and nothing terrible ever happened. On the way out my Grandfather would make sure he had money to stop at the store and buy food and then they were on their way.

Meanwhile we thought we were getting away with something if we were still outside after the streetlights came on.
