I'll make this one short and sweet: Anyone who didn't enjoy the hell out of virtually every minute of Hardcore Henry, we can't be friends. Unique POV I have never seen in a movie, action sequences that make Wick movies look bland, dark humor galore, some one liners that had me LOL out loud, ta ta's, and mini guns, visuals that set the standard in the genre:

Who needs a plot when you're having that much fun?! A+

Definitely a blast to watch. I watched it without knowing anything about the movie, other than 1st person POV with tons of stunts. That, and the the whole thing was filmed with GoPros on the cheap. Pretty clever. It took me a bit to realize it is basically a video game but I sure wanted to play lols. One thing I found out afterwards is the role for Henry had at least 2 actors- the action was so intense that the GoPro rig they wore really pushed these guys to the limits.

Some insight to the production:

US we just throw $ at a project to make it work, usually resulting in garbage movies. Russians have to be creative, and it works big time in this movie.

Due to the dialogue etc, I really felt it rose well above simple movie as video game kinda deal, like say Agent 42 (which i enjoyed more than I would have expected), and enjoyed far more than the Wick films myself. The various clone characters were just awesome in parts and the action sequences second to none in the genre. Should be viewed a cult classic. Wish I'd seen that one sooner. My bad.

NSFW language and violence FYI, but if you liked HH watch this:

Biting Elbows - Bad Mother@#$&*r (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rgox84KE7iY)

and or this

The Weeknd - False Alarm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW5oGRx9CLM)

Same director as HH.

I saw this in theatres when it came out.

Halfway through, the theatre was empty from walkouts. The normies either got motion sickness or couldn’t understand what they were watching.

This movie is literally a video game. We don’t learn too much about the main character and the hideout gunfight was awesome.

It was awesome. Never do a sequel.

The ending was great. If you’ve seen it, you know what I mean.

Sharlto Copely is amusing.

ETA. My favorite scene

Yes, I have seen those and other shorts he made. Always enjoyed them but didn't think a full length movie would keep me interested. I could not have been more wrong on that score!

Watched it again last night, and it's still great. I rarely watch movies more than once, even movies I like, but I was in the mood for it, and it was all win. Surprised they have not made another. Ta ta's and mini guns, says it all.

Made it to the strip club scene, thank god for the strip club scene. Gonna try and finish this one, it's on NF anyway. Reminds me of a much less sophisticated Deadpool in a way.

This movie is literally a video game.

I thought the first person action was the best part of the movie Doom

I think all the "Jimmy's" are great, coked up Jimmy is the best Jimmy.

That should have been the whole movie. No Aliens. No Rock. No talking.

Just a brute space marine who doesn’t talk shoving a sawed off shotgun up literal demons from Hell asses and ripping and tearing until it is done while hardcore metal blasts loudly in the background.

Not a woman. Not a black guy. Not someone secretly gay. Just a swole mute guy tearing through literal Hell to kill demons.

And I want Sam Raimi to direct

I dug the British Jimmy and all the references, especially the Bravo Two Zero secret code. Overall I enjoyed the film but I'd never watch it again. Because of the film style it's hard to relate to the main character. I was impressed by some of the displayed technique such as the AK magazine change where the new magazine engages the magazine release lever and a few other "real world" tactics and methods that you had to know what it is to see the three seconds of film they devote to the skill.

But I will never need to see any spin off "first person POV" films, it's just another technique like shaky cam (Blair Witch Project) and Matrix effects which may have worked in the original films but destroy all other films that incorporate the film technique.

It will of course have a niche audience with first person gamer fans, but that isn't me.

I actually picked up some lines and visuals I hadn't gotten on the first watching, but no, I don't see it as a movie I will re watch various times as I might others.

This movie is actually based and technically shouldn’t exist.
