Parler seems to be a good alternative to suckerbergs facebook. I recommend setting it up and using/familiarizing yourself with it prior to the November E.
Parler doesn't censor or throttle content.

Because everyone who pulls the plug on Facebook/Twitter/Big Left Tech and switches to the upstart aternatives is a direct hit to not only their bottom lines and market share, but "mind share" too. Many conservative-spectrum figures like Ted Cruz are making the jump to Parler, either completely or in parallel with the others.

Or, if you were plugged in in the first place, just pull the plug and be done!

However, my "why" was more about why before the election

suckerberg has already said facebook will be heavily censored before and after the election.

Ah! Ok I guess that makes sense. I don't follow social media. This is about it for me with an occasional peek into that neighborhood thing

Sounds great until it's full of 88s and dick pics.

Once upon a time an amazing visionary launched Full-Auto.com and I was allowed to participate. It was glorious...at least for a time. It was a libertarian oasis of a nearly free forum on the old west internet. Basically no kid porn, dick pics or discussions of anything illegal.

We basked in the freedom that allowed us to ask stupid questions and discuss nearly any topic. There was a T&A forum to contain all pics of socially important or relevant nudity. And then....they found us. I think Stormfront discovered the free expression AND guns format and they all goose stepped right in. Ironically many of them objected to the nudity while not understanding it was that very tolerant viewpoint that allowed them to post their stupidity.

Many stop gaps were attempted, revisions to original rule made and new rules imposed until the proprietor simply said "screw it" people can't handle freedom. A brief attempt at a second version, full-auto.org was attempted...but again they found us.

Not saying Parler will be better or worse than FB, just saying be ready for anything and make sure you want a name account associated with it.

I miss old BBSes. Honestly you aren’t going to get the Wild West days back. It’s either a COC written up by lawyers, Nu-Tech do-gooders who force Socialist narrative, or whatever.

The real people who enjoy Alt Tech might get a little edgy when venting their frustrations but ultimately it was a more polite internet because we glean from others to sharpen ourselves.

The roots of M4C have been predicated around the way of the gun. Not grooming and haberdashery, not religion, not Freemasonry, not Women’s issues, not Zombies. Not being the guy with the most expensive car or the fat kid with the most GI Joes. The total, true way of the fighting carbine.

And I am not totally chauvinistic when I say that. It’s universal. You don’t have to broadcast your gender or who you screw. But facts are most military and LE who actually care about improving their efficacy are usually men.

And I like that we aren’t a Republican, Bible thumping echo chamber. I have my beliefs but it’s not that important compared to making yourself sharper.

My bae Colt has really not changed much. Really I just want a non expensive ACOG for it.

This is pretty much the only real social media I care to engage in. And I don’t agree with everything here but overall it’s probably the closest you will get to a free space to discuss your gun that isn’t A Magical Place within the normiesphere.

And I like that it is slow.
