Only reason I kept the guitar case when I got rid of the guitar.

Think you were looking for 'discreet'? :D

There are tons of these cases out there. As in the other post, you can rig up a case made for something else, in fact there are a few companies making guitar-shaped rifle cases now (check out Savior Equipment, and Hazard 4, as examples). Some of the American 'tactical' bag companies, whose products are made in China, have some pretty decent offerings if you don't mind buying stuff made in China (Blackhawk, 5.11, Condor, Maxpedition, etc.). A regular square-shaped 22-inch discreet case (https://www.galatiinternational.com/22-inch-double-discreet-square-carry-rifle-case-black-galati-gear.html) that's close to the size you want is made by Galati, they have a number of size-specific discreet cases.

If looking for more quality or made in U.S. or our allies, then...
* Eberlestock (check out some of their EDC packs, like S25 Cherry Bomb or X41 Hispeed https://eberlestock.com/collections/everyday/)
* London Bridge Trading (check out their SBR case - https://lbtinc.com/collections/packs-and-bags/products/8020)
* Tactical Tailor
* Vertyx (check out the Gamut checkpoint pack - https://vertx.com/gamut-checkpoint-backpack)
* First Spear (https://www.first-spear.com/packs-bags/weapon-cases)

This is the 23" model - I got one in 25" for my Bren 805, but the 23" would've been plenty big.

Mag & suppressor pouches on the inside, American-made in TX - a quality bag that doesn't scream "DISCREET WEAPONS BAG!"

If you carry a Tennis racquet case just make sure you look like you can remotely play tennis...

...and are even remotely close to a tennis court.

With Law Tactical folders on the market and backpacks being the norm in most urban settings I'm unsure why anyone would use an instrument case or tennis racquet bag when they don't fit into most environments. If you're carrying one from your house to your car and the car back to the house it's fine, but if you are actually gonna carry a pdw style weapon in an urban environment they're not as discreet as people think.

Savior Equipment makes a couple that are well made. You can find them on Amazon and other retailers.

Agreed. Backpacks are a much better option and certainly more discreet than an instrument case.

Also they’re “on body”

I thank everybody for your help. I think I will use what I all ready have brand new Blackhawk Hydration pack I got last summer on Ft. Bragg. My DDM4PDW fits and plenty of room and more room to carry extra mags etc.

golf club bag.

It's what Jack D. Ripper would do.

Yes, the golf bag even has a pocket for extra belts of .30 cal.

I would like to add a long zipper down one side of the bag to have use of the whole inside. I was long looking yesterday at a old good friend who is a Golf nut and looking if the golf bag would work.

I found on Ebay.com a used Callaway golf travel bag might work. I unzips in the middle and has two straps inside the tie down the clubs inside. I would to see it in person.

things I have used;
A large long soft side tool bag with foam cut to fit a standard M4 profile rifle.
A mandolin case, again soft side and cut to fit foam.
A guitar case that is hard side and built for a Fender Telecaster.

Once you get adept at cutting/painting/sealing foam it's all up to you

I bought this Bulldog AR discreet carry case in blue and put a Harley Davidson Patch on it. You have to separate the upper from the lower to fit a 16" barrel in it but it has a padded divider to separate them and a 2 mag pouch on the divider.
