UGA alumni here so let's get this out of the way 1st...Go Dawgs! Currently ranked 4th and beating AU in the first half right. Clemson is currently ranked #1 as of October 3rd.

An interesting season for sure...like everything else in 2020 with shortened schedules and conference only play.

Who's your team?

The other Bulldogs...Mississippi State. Not looking good right now.

UGA...

Ugh...

I'm still not happy about the Big 10 and Pac-12 teams getting ranked when they haven't even played a game yet.

Looks like OU is about to lose another one. The fans are not going to be happy.

This year will be statistically meaningless, an asterisk year. How can anyone divine any objective information--especially rankings--with this year??

That out of the way, both of my alma maters (Duke and East Carolina Univ.) are a combined 0-5, so there's that.....

Aside from being a Lincoln Riley fan, I am a little amused at both LSU's and Oklahoma's performance so far.

Clemson grad here. We should have a good season again, and I'm glad the rest of the ACC is doing "decent." Miami looks to be pretty good, and ND is officially part of the ACC this year, so there's that. I'm surprised to see UNC in the top 10 too. We'll see how the season plays out, but it's kind of difficult to tell who's truly good this year with everyone restricted to conference play until the playoff.

Only one reason UNC is in the top 10, and his name is "Mack Brown".

Duke got Clemson's back-up QB, and he has not, ah, been good. I don't know if it's a system thing or what. Cutcliffe is the quarterback whisperer, so hopefully he'll come along....

Yeah, Chase Bryce played well when given opportunities at Clemson. In fact he probably saved our last NC season during the Syracuse game that year. I don't know what's going on with him at Duke.

Funny you mention the asterisk.

For the record, I'd let Miss ACC ride regardless of how much I disliked Clemson.

WVU Mountaineers

We had a nice 27-21 OT win over Baylor Saturday, bumped us up to 4th in the Big 12

Yes, I'm in Ohio and I'm not an Ohio State fan.

I see Oklahoma totally out of the top 20. Dang.

The natives out here are restless about it too lol

I'll give Lincoln Riley all the credit in the world for being able to develop quarterbacks. He had Mayfield, Murray and Hurts all in NY for the Heisman and two out of three isn't bad. But Rome wasn't built in a day and Rattler is still a freshman. He's going to need some time to develop.

Everyone has their ups and downs. If there ever was a year to be "down" this is the year for it.

Riley was our OC before he got that job in Oklahoma. I wish him all the best, he is good people.

I wouldn't have minded him at Tennessee before Stoops hired him. I give the man all the credit in the world, he is the QB wisperer.

Crazy weekend...

Red River going to 4 Overtimes
Alabama giving up the most yards in school history (thought still pulling out the win)
Tennessee getting back into form for a half
Florida upset
Somehow a basketball school is in the top 5
The defending national champs are out of the top 25
And somehow it's mathematically possible for OU and Texas to make the Big 12 Championship game, but looking more like Okie State, K State and Iowa State have the inside track

What a crazy year...

But, for humor, SEC Shorts uploaded another good one today:

Goes to show how much more Spring practice means to a defense than an offense. These scores are all like PAC-12/Mountain West scores. Craziness.

I don't know if any of you follow Annie Agar on Twitter, but she absolutely nails the mock Zoom calls in the CFB world.

Lol the bit about OU is so true, the defense start gelling, hope for a bunch of Big 12 underdog upsets and a nice bowl game this year.

First half scare for Clemson this weekend, and Trevor is out for the Notre Dame game next week. Could get a little bumpy.

As if this season couldn't get any stranger...

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/30386218/vanderbilt-soccer-sarah-fuller-option-kick-football-team-coach-says

Vanderbilt football, which finds itself in need of a place-kicker, could turn to women's soccer player Sarah Fuller.

Appearing on 102.5 The Game in Nashville on Wednesday, coach Derek Mason confirmed that Fuller "is an option for us."

The Vanderbilt Hustler first reported that Fuller practiced with the football team Tuesday with many of the team's specialists in quarantine because of COVID-19 testing.

If Fuller plays Saturday against Missouri, it is believed that she would be the first woman to participate in a Power 5 football game.

Necessary Roughness was a prediction movie?

Grand58742

Of course, with the way Tennessee's season is going this year, she'll probably kick the winning field goal against us and we get replaced by some made up college in the Lifetime movie about it...

Well, history made in the P5 (if you consider Vandy a P5 team)

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/30407278/vanderbilt-commodores-k-sarah-fuller-makes-history-second-half-kickoff

Sarah Fuller became the first woman to play in a Power 5 football game on Saturday when she delivered the opening kickoff of the second half for Vanderbilt against Missouri.

Fuller, a senior goalkeeper on Vanderbilt's SEC championship soccer team, sent the low kick to the 35-yard line where it was downed by Missouri. Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason said Fuller executed the so-called squib kick exactly as it was designed.

She's actually showing on the roster on the Vandy website, which is interesting.

They omitted her weight though lol

UGA down to 9th on the rankings...and after watching them, I would say that's on overly generous rank. Are playoffs going to be "normal" this year or some sort of Covid deviation?
