The BCG normally does not get damaged from primers, they are too soft, but it doesn't hurt to inspect it as well.
It's not uncommon to get a gouge in the anodized non contact areas in the upper from this, it may not be pretty, but it'll function fine. This condition was unfortunately common in the early 90's when cheap Chinese .223 was popular for some. The only times I've seen severe damage from primers is when a previously round's primer gets caught in the BCG cam path preventing unlocking of the bolt.
