I’ve got a 6315KM that will be installed shortly. Since I’m planning to use the keymount feature for future suppressor purchases, this seemed to fit my needs well.

Can anyone speak to the “comp” feature?

Besides that, are there plans to make an 1815KM?

I have some and they work great. Not as obnoxious as a break but still works great.

I don't have one but just looking at the pictures I can't imagine it doing anything an eight dollar A2 doing other than hosting a suppressor.

Just as good or better flash suppression and about 25% better compensation.

They are better than an A2 IMO. I didn't want something obnoxious and these work very well for what they are

I have two. Work as advertised and are machined better than the dead air brand mounts.

This is it, in a nutshell. Some will find them worth it, some not. I have one and plan to get a couple more.

I run them on all of the guns I run my cans on and they work as advertised with and without the can on. Now if he would just launch the brake that he is working on, I could put them on my 6 ARC, 6.5CM and SPR guns.

1815KM most likely won't be coming back, it's close enough to the 6315KM, we don't need both to be in the same space.

1215KM will be worked on as soon as the HDSI and FCD collaboration project is finished, along with a few Key Micro muzzle devices.

6315KM's flash suppression performance is similar to the 6315, which is on par with the A2. I didn't want a dedicated flash suppressor, but rather a blended performance, some call hybrid muzzle device. 6315 is a flash suppressor first, it's the most practical aspect of it. We gave it as much muzzle rise compensation as we can within the confines (length and diameter are both A2 spec). The better comp performance is "free", in that it doesn't achieve it at the expense of increased muzzle flash signature, noise and concussion typically associated with a dedicated comp.

So it's a jack of all trades, I rather think of it as balanced. The A2 is the most under rated muzzle device, we base a lot of our designs on the TDP equivalent because they're so brilliant, the A2 is no exception in its simplicity, it could use a bit of help in being a better comp, and 6315 is that result.

Key micro devices?

Also, someone mentioned a brake? I'm listening...

I tend to use brakes on most of my rifles as these days everything is largely suppressed.

10.75 S-Loks have been released already. 11.5 and 13.625 will be available with the Mod 2 receiver sets as builders kits. When the builders kits sell out, the handguards will be sold individually with more of both to follow.

The number designator 12 should give you an idea about their inspiration.

...did I?

I've been Googling it just about once a day since I saw Hodge's Halloween post/shipping announcement on Facebook and haven't found anything in stock.

Pfffuuugh... dammit. I already have a Hodge upper receiver. I just want a Spine-Lock rail to put on my Hodge upper with my Hodge barrel.

OPD also opened preorders on 11.5” and 13.5” to my knowledge.

Back to muzzle devices, anyone have anecdotal evidence with how these perform on say a 10.5 or 11.5? Flash suppression acceptable? Even the A2 can be a little obnoxious, in my experience.

I received a 6315 a week or so ago, i haven't mounted it yet, but no worries about quality or over hype from FCD. I also found one of Rogers muzzle device wrenches in stock at Capable Citizen. Just waiting on a few more parts and will get it all done at once. Update to follow....

6315's flash suppression performance is akin to that of the A2, given the same length and diameter. We opened up the internal cone a bit to increase the volume of air inside, but it didn't have any significant affect on flash suppression.

A dedicated flash suppressor would do a better with 10.5 or 11.5, but it'd almost certainly be longer and with open prongs, and will not provide any muzzle rise compensation abilities.

FCD 6315 as promised the follow up.
Many things are subjective, ie; ergonomics, trigger pull, if your sling ****y thing goes in or out etc. Muzzle devices are however quantitive. You can measure sound, or do high speed photography, or do your best to perceive .
34 degrees F, misty drizzle, at dusk, Colt 6920, h2 buffer, Colt carbine spring, IMI 193, no perceived flash, significantly less muzzle rise, it's all good.
Doing my absolute very best to perceive, I'm prepared to deliver my (verdict opinion)....It works as advertised....the end.

I'm still rocking the 6315 and loving it. Is the 6315KM long enough to make a 14.5" bbl 16.1" if you P&W?

I want to know if FCD is going to make Xeno-compatible muzzle devices.

Uncas47

I can't answer those questions, but Roger is very accessible.

Duffy

I have talked to Todd, they're still working our licensing, we have expressed interest in making Xeno mounts, and can come to market quickly once we have their go ahead :)

6315KM is 2.38" and will easily bring a 14.5 to over 16", assuming 0.5" is taken up by threading, it'll add 1.88 to the barrel.

Excellent. I like the smaller design of the Xeno, and the suppressor adaptors are way cheaper by about $100.

This ones going on an A4 with a carbine RE, I'm just a glutton for punishment.

Yep, drove out on Dec 15, arrived on Dec 16 night and resumed operations upon arrival. Already got our cars registered (at less than 1/3 of what CA DMV charged) and driver's licenses. We sold our CA properties, and now have nothing left in CA but friends.

I don't miss CA :)

I can’t think of any other “12” rifles.

1215KM (1/2 x 28), and 1210KM (5/8 x 24) are Keymo mounts for Dead Air sound suppressors, they're likely the only brakes we'll ever make, not being a big fan of comps and brakes, they do have their uses on sound suppressors, we won't be making them without the Keymo interface.

6315KM Short for 5.56mm and 9mm are also coming, these are shortened 6315KM for Key Micro :)
