Yes. My first DA/SA and still carry sometimes. Accurate, reliable, lightweight, and the best mag release of any handgun bar none. Excellent gun and way under appreciated.

I bought a .40S&W back in 1998. It came with 10rd mags.

Great gun, but it was not a good design for .40.

I ended up selling it to fund a PPQ later.

In hindsight, I would love to have back a 9mm AS.

Currently carry a CZ P-01 with Cajun springs.

I agree. The only negative I have about it is - and this is increasingly common these days - the polymer front sight. After drawing from the kydex holster a couple hundred times, one corner of the sight starts getting rounded off. Otherwise, it's an absolutely infallible, natural-pointing gun.

Love my P99AS It's a reliable workhorse. It and the PPQ m1.

The Q trigger is slightly better, but the P99AS is very close and better than a lot of other stock striker fired pistols.

Well I don't use it much, I like having the decocker capability

Sights are easy. I have 10-8s but now you can get truglos I think.

I find the SA trigger to be the best, and reset is crazy good.

The DA is decent but needs a case of ammo and or smoothing on some. It can
Stack at the end of the press a bit but not terribly. They could use less over travel.

Always easy to shoot accurately and while some complain about the position OC the decocker I think it is about perfect,

I had the 9mm and 40's. Both full size compact. Liked everything about the pistols, but the mag release was horrible to try get used to. sold all of them but the full size 9. I would have swapped the G19 for it but i could not get used to the mag release. But i loved it so much i kept one of them. The 40's were horrible to shoot.

I have both the full size and compact version, great guns in 9mm.

I really wish all weapons had this mag release. Allows for 0 shift of the hand, more leverage, totally ambidextrous, and faster reloads.

I had one in 9mm and .40 S&W years ago. I liked them both. Great trigger and ergos. I don't have the PPQ but it looks and feels very similar to the P99. I love Walther stuff

If anyone wants to trade me a P99AS for my PPQ I’d be happy to do it. Strikers ain’t for me, I’m a DA/SA guy at heart.

I really like the gun but hate the trigger. The curve is a little too much for the size and I get a trigger slap when shooting. I'd love a flat trigger for it.

For EDC though it would be fine. I just wouldn't want to do mag after mag through it(say like idpa with it).

I had 2 sizes of the P99AS, in 2 calibers. They were all sold due only to the mag release. I could never like it. I also thought that the grip was a little lacking in sticky texture but that can easily be solved by stippling or adding grippy tape or a rubber sleeve.

But now I have 3 sizes of the PPQ M2 and they are perfect for me. All these are in 9mm as it is such a cheap caliber to shoot. <well, it was such but who knows when I will be able to say that again?>
