View Full Version : AR15 Barrel Extension Machining Dimensions
Hi, I am planning of installing a barrel extension to my .223 1:9 blank barrel. My problem is I cannot find the exact dimensions needed for the items listed below:
1. Measurements for the installation of barrel extension and thread pitch.
2. The correct length/protrusion of the loaded ammo when inserted into the reamed chamber. (for correct headspace)
3. correct measurements of the barrel ramp (angle/length)
Thanks for the help guys.

Google AR15 Barrel Extension Blueprint. It's real easy but probably not as easy as just buying one for 20 bucks. What does the barrel nut have to do with the extension other than pushing against the flange on it??

Get some go/no go and field headspace gauges.

I misquoted it as Barrel Nut but what I really meant is barrel Extension. Thanks
