Let me see if I can explain myself here,

When I was in the Army, we sighted our rifles in at 300m. To do this, we sighted in at 25m. Using the rear Elevation Adj. to compensate the difference. Once we had our 3 shot group center mass, we put the Elevation Adj back to it's original position.

Since my BUIS does not have the Elevation Adj on rear sight, what should my point of impact be at 25m to achieve a zero at 300m?

I.E. Should my impact point be in the bullseye, or so many inches high or low at
25m?

buis are generally zeroed @50yards. which will also give you a zero of 200meters.

At 25 meters, your point of impact should be 0.25" below your point of aim to approximate a 300 meter zero. As mentioned above, the IBZ is a more practical zeroing shceme for most common uses of the AR-15 platform.

This is a good question since I have a LaRue BUIS, meaning no elevation adjustment. Is it already set for 25 or 50 yard zero?

All elevation adjustments are done on the front sight post.

That's not what we're asking. On an A2 rear sight there is an Elevation Adj. for 300-800m. When you sight in at 25m, you set the F and R sights to mechanical zero. Then the elevation knob is rotated up (clockwise) one click past the 8/3 (300 meter) mark. The elevation knob will remain in this position until the battle sight zeroing has been completed. Once the rifle has been sighted in, you return the sight to the 300-meter setting.

BUIS's do not have this 8/3 Elevation Adj. Knob
