I know it's obviously 5.56 ball and I'm guessing military. What else might you know, how old is it? M1A3 ?

South African I think.
Not sure about age. The stuff I had was mid 80s.

Have you shot any of it? Someone locally is selling this stuff and "M1A4" in clear 300 round battle packs....decent price too...$.65/rnd

Don't know about the clear battle packs think that is newer, all I ever had was in brown battle packs dated 83, shot OK about like standard M193 but be aware that at least the older stuff is berdan primed so no reloading.
