View Full Version : Cutting a Daniel Defense Barrel

Are there any issues with having a Daniel Defense, 16” barrel, mid-length gas, cut to 14.5”?

I have had Colt barrels cut down for builds I’ve done in the past and never had an issue. These barrels have always been standard 16”, carbine gas barrels.

Nope. I wouldn’t touch the gas port either.

I guess that is your choice if you think the juice is worth the squeeze. To answer your original question... If it is anything other than a LW barrel cut away..
