Hi,

I am in the process to install a DD handguard on my
LE 6920.
How do you remove the front sling swivel? It has two
roll pins retaining the bracket. Do you just pull them
out or do you need to compress the bracket itself for removal
of the roll pins?

I have built AR's and changed barrels numerous times but I
haven't come across this type of bracket before.

Thanks

I hope I posted this in the right place.

All you need to do is simply use a punch to remove the roll pins.

I tried that but before but was being too careful (I guess) and couldn't get them to budge, will have to try again. If I could get them out I'd be able to mount a Surefire X300 on the left rail like I wanted to. With the swivel in the way its impossible to slide anything on there.

You just have to show them who the boss is.

Make sure you have the correct punch size and a BIG Hammer.
Use a BIGGER hammer, if necessary.

Sooner or later they'll understand what you're trying to do.

A little Kroil would not hurt.
