Colt 6520 chamber

This has probably been covered before,but the Colt 6520's receiver says 223 cal. Is this actually a 5.56 chamber? As the 6920 says 5.56mm

I believe so,I dont have mine in front of me at the moment either.Just wondered why it had .223 on the receiver. You would think they would just put 5.56 on the 6520 also??

the barrel should be marked C MP 1/7 556 NATO so the chamber is 556 rated ;)

I dont know why colt marks their lower 223 :confused:
