Preliminary information suggests majority of the victims were women of Asian descent, killer is a 21 year old white guy....Given the recent and very wide spread discussions of Asian hate crimes this seems to fit that pattern....

And most of the surrounding states have had kids full time in schools since August 2020. They happen to have red governors. So has very purple Florida, which had equal with if not better COVID stats than Minnesota (the Dakotas had the kinda stats only Cuomo could love).
I do not want to dog too hard on Minnesota, but it appears livestreaming the jury selection is not going well in the Chauvin trial. The SJW crowd is already not happy that almost half the jurors appear to impartial. Fair trials do not comport with the State’s blue majority, such as the Attorney General.

I've seen a bit of interaction between Asians and African Americans while working in LA, starting about a month or so after the riot.
Two cultures clashing and it escalates.
Small shop owners all over Asia will greet you and follow you through their stores as you shop to answer your questions and help you find whatever you want.
My former brother in law didn't understand that, he thought they were tracking behind him in their stores because he was Black and they thought he was shop lifting.
I showed him something one time. I walk in the store and say "Mr Lee I need a forty ounce Budweiser" Homeboy Mr. Lee jumps out from behind the counter and brings me a forty.

There are 4-5 times as many white males as there are black males in the US. If 160 or more black males per 1000 were killed by police, then there would be (very roughly) an equal number killed in the US.

I believe the correct context for such comparisons is crime committed per police shooting.
For example... blacks make up about 13% of the population but account for over half of the murders and robberies as well as overrepresented in crime overall as shown in FBI stats linked below. So flags are at half mast because Hunter Biden is beside himself at the loss of Asian hookers?
Couple of things on this one. As we all know the suspect himself has come out and said it was driven by sex, due to his sex addiction, and not driven by racist ideals. He even told as much to his half-way housemates and investigators. The media needs it to be racially driven to continue their division of Americans.
The BLM movement is showing true colors by telling people not to use the hashtag #AsianLivesMatter but to use #StopAsianHate because it takes away from their cause. This trend stated when #AllLivesMatter was trending over the summer. See the attached tweet. We've had attacks on out local asian population in Seattle for decades, predominately by black suspects but they are almost never charged as hate crimes by Seattle PD or the King County Prosecutor's Office. Hell, Seattle Public Schools openly discriminates against asians by excluding them from the minority pool in statistics, Asians in Seattle schools get lumped in with whites. The media isn't openly showing the hard numbers because showing astromonical changes in percentages is much more of an impact.
Anti-Asian hatred goes back hundreds of years and was even sanctioned by the government. In recent decades they have become an "inconvenient minority" as they don't tend to fit the traditional minority stereotypes. They become outliers in that they are no POC being "supressed" or "oppressed" by the man and have worked through it to be come a traditionally successful people instead of continuing the victim mentality.

You ever ask yourself why Asian-Americans always seem to “get ahead”? Me, neither. But it appears that some people do think about it. A lot. So, whaddya think? Jedi mind tricks? Nope. Sleight of hand? Not even close. “White supremacist thinking.” Yup, and it apparently works like a charm. Or so says the vice president of the San Francisco School Board.
Anything “the others” achieve must be achieved at the expense of someone else, through ill-gotten gains. Be it by lying, cheating, stacking the deck against people of color, or whatever other nefarious means necessary. It is not within the realm of possibility to the left that dedication, hard work, and perseverance actually do pay off — most of the time.

They are seriously trying to spin this like it was Roosevelts Internment Camps.
The only demographic that “targets” Asians is usually black and poor. I mean if anybody can show me scholarly, well vetted proof of anti-Asian trends then I would love to see it.
Things were sorta shaky in the post Malaise 80s when a lotta Japanese companies were coming to America but yet it didn’t take long for people to see the benefits of jobs and Japanese cars made in America.
Again once people realized the Nipponese wanted to do business and were hyper capitalist then it was game on. The only reason people hate Red China is the whole Communist angle.
If the ChiComs were ChiCaps and burned all the little red books then honestly it wouldn’t be an issue. I mean look at the prosperity of Hong Kong pre-1997.

The only white hatred of asians that might exist is those who didn't score as high on their SATs and lost their spot at Harvard or whatever.

Coming from South Central KY I haven't had a lot of Asian or Black friends or acquaintances, but a really high percentage of the small sample size seemed to have had a very negative few of the opposite race.
