The brass ball in the nose cavity is interesting, but is there really a need for this that another round couldn't meet?

The .416 Barrett and .408 Cheytac come to mind.

What this has going for it is the ability to use the .338LM platform. So it’s a lot like the .416 Barrett in the respect. I always got the feeling that countries that use the .338LM extensively have an institutional dislike of .50BMG outside of machine gun applications.

I wouldn't mind trying out the bullet loaded in .375H&H. The ball/air gap is odd. They speak to it as improving CG for external ballistics, but it would seem that void would collapse on impact for interesting terminal performance.

The Swiss design things from a "cost is no object" point of view. Their SS109 has a heavy jacket, a small-dia. steel penetrator, a brass shaft behind it as a core, and a little brass cap behind that.
