It’s believed this was the same shooter that was firing on officers earlier in the day from an ambush point in an elevated position.
Score 1 for the good guys.
Eh.... story doesn't sound *quite* like a mass shooter event.
Shooter 1) fired in random directions indiscriminately, hit no-one, 2) only had a handgun, so nothing to bandwagon on here, and 3) had "a full box of ammo". Vague fearmongering. What, like 25-50 rounds or a zerox box full? 4) Police already had prior dealings with the guy. Oops. Now they are tying to CYA/Bandwagon by calling it the "START OF" a mass event, then chucking out the "mental health" rote line for good measure. Given the shooter's previous activity on the bridge (also fired randomly, hit no-one), sounds like the guys was simply on a bender/breakdown.
I mean, sure, lucky nobody got hit, and the PD took him out quick when required, so good deal overall.
But that story is using the usual vague 'facts' and reaching pretty hard.
I knew I should never have put this bumpstock on my post button...

After pulling them over and talking, the driver attempts to shoot the officer. Officer hit and returns fire killing two, wounding the third.
