“AUSTIN, Texas -- Austin police are looking for 41-year-old ... as the suspect in the shooting that left three people dead Sunday afternoon in an Austin, Texas apartment.

Police, fire and EMS all responded to the scene in the northwest part of Texas' capital city for three people suffering gunshot wounds, according to a tweet from the Austin-Travis County EMS.”

I also read an article earlier today that states “mass-shootings” are up like 73% from the same timeframe (January to April 2020) last year.

“According to the Gun Violence Archive, at least 12,417 people have died from gun violence so far this year in the US, and at least 6,996 of them died by suicide. Gun violence researchers say laws requiring a waiting period after purchasing a gun could cut down the number of lives lost in both mass shootings and suicide. The suspects in the Atlanta and Boulder mass shootings bought their guns within days of those attacks.

Metzl believes passing gun laws including background checks and bans on high-capacity magazines also will cut down on gun violence casualties.”

If you ask me—but only if’n you ask—seems like perhaps the media, as well as this administration and others, have an agenda...

That can't be a mass shooting in Austin you racist............ :jester:

What has changed since January that could be the cause of this? ...............................................................................

Why is it gun violence when someone commits suicide with a gun, but it’s not rope violence when they hang themselves?

So 5000 actual murders with guns so far this year, but we have heard about how many of them actually? Less than 50? It’s those that they are using to drive the narrative of all 5000.

Article claims three people shot.

Sorry, not enough to qualify as a 'mass shooting'.

Could be a rough man hunt. Ex-officer fired for rape of a 16 year old.

Broderick's bail conditions required him to surrender all firearms and not obtain any new ones. Yet, he was in possession of a firearm. How can that be? There ought to be a law...

In Chicago over the weekend 3 people were shot in a restaurant drive through, killing a 7 year old girl in the back seat. Minutes later, three more were killed a mile or so down the road. No mass shooting here, just bad guns and crazy white people (no Caucasian people were shot or shooting in this case).

Just imagine how dangerous this person would have been with an assault car or semi.

Doncha just hate it when guns use people to do bad things.

I mean it's not like humans have the ability to control their own actions.

Blood is on the judges hands in this case. Set low bond. The wife/girlfriend wrote letters to judge about suspect and he would kill them if he was allowed out on bail. Very liberal judge ignore and set $50k bond and a monitor. Shortly after release judge allowed monitor removed. Now wife/girlfriend and family are deceased. This is from a recently retired LE from Austin area & likely won't read anything on it knowing the climate in Austin.

Very much so, the Judge had statements from the Daughter claiming if he was free he would kill them. See how that worked out?
There was sexual abuse between the step daughter and step father, it went down hill from there. He gave up his Law Enforcement job because of the stigma. Guess he bided his time until it all aligned for him and he took out three of them.
No plan for a quick get away, just kind of wandered up and killed them, just like she said he would.

There are good conservative people living and working in Austin, they've got a lot to lose if they leave, sadly these folks wont get the chance to work out all of the details.
Lot of anti-Judge sentiment coming out of Austin over the AM airwaves. One guy called about breaking up a fight between two women and a vagrant, the vagrant got 360 days, reduced to twenty. The vagrant cracked the victims skull when he broke up the fight.

He murdered his ex-wife, his stepdaughter (and sexual abuse victim), and the stepdaughter's boyfriend.

Gotta give the arresting officers kudos for professionalism. I'd have just shot him down in the street. There's good reasons I ain't a cop.
