View Full Version : Such a thing as a match grade M4 barrel?

Just wondering if anybody actually makes a match grade M4 barrel? I've seen a lot of match grade middy barrels from a number of makers, but haven't really come across anything with M4 cutouts, a carbine length gas system, that has the 203 cutout.

Anybody? Would I have to look at custom barrel makers like Krieger or Rock Creek?

Pretty much any barrel can be turned down to the M4 profile by custom barrel shops but why would you want to? That kind of profile will lessen the accuracy potential of the barrel

I'm putting together a carbine build and just wanted something accurate and a little different. Wasn't aware that the M4 contour was harmful to the accuracy of the rifle though. I guess I'll consider having a carbine length barrel made with some flutes instead.

Have not tested her yet (no time), but have read that it is an accurate round and their 14.5" is one of their(AA) more accurate barrel. :)
