I will soon change my first AR-15 barrel.

I have everything I need except the grease for the
barrel nut.

Is this a suitable grease?

I've read about using alternative greases, from motor oil
to brake grease, but I want to use what the Mil Spec calls for.

Not something just as good.

Is there a better Mil Spec grease to use?

Thank You.

Just go down to autozone and get yourself a stick of anti-sieze.

Does that meet the requirements of Mil-Spec 10924G?

Can't tell you if it does or not, but the Hi slip you posted does.

Brownells Action Lube plus. Plus you would be supporting a M4C supporter!

A small tub of this lasted me almost 3yrs at work. For someone who doesn't work on ARs daily it would probably last a lifetime.
